1. Open and read the “How to write a critique” document in the resources menu.
Describe what is a critique.
A critique involves identifying critical things to say about an article and resisting the temptation to describe rather than analyse.
2. Outline the FOUR stages in a critique.
A critique usually has 4 parts:
-
An introduction (which directs the reader’s attention to the publication and your response to it)
-
A summary of the article
-
Your analysis or critical commentary on the original text
-
Your evaluation or conclusion
3. Can a critique be positive? Discuss.
Yes it can depending on its overall points on negative and positive. The positive can be demonstrated through the analysis and conclusion which will sum up the ideas.
4. Critique the accuracy of the following articles:
The first article was about the Beijing Olympics which will be commencing. They talk about how the Chinese people are making holes identified through satellite images. The news readers claim that they will place branched and leaves on top of the hole and trap everyone. They say they have planned the attack for thousands of years. This information isn’t accurate by me looking at different sources and looking at google earth.
The second article is about a 2 year old donkey called up to Pro Donkey Basketball League. They talk about this donkey playing in front of many people in Basketball and is not ready mentally for this. They ckaim that a coach will change this donkey to like the audience. This information isn’t accurate by me looking at different sources especially as donkey basketball doesn’t exist or doesn’t exist in the media world.

1. Describe TWO things that you have learnt during this lesson.
I have learnt how to make a newspaper article twisting the story and what this tells me is that the media can make you try to believe things which may twist the truth. I also learnt how the media can copy things from other media sources and claim it as their own and risk going to court.
2. Identify TWO areas you want to concentrate on during this project that you think need a greater improvement from the last project.
I need to have better group communication and go through the Entry Document and Group Rubric as a group and make sure everyone has understood everything.
3. Discuss TWO ways in which your group could resolve any disputes during this process.
We can have a vote on things or clarify things with the teacher.

1. Has your image of Jesus changed during the project? How or Why not?
My image of jesus has not changed because my views of Jesus have not been changed.
2. What do you feel is the best way to portray an image of Jesus and why?
Gather the qualities of Jesus, where he has been when being on Earth and what you think about Jesus and make a brainstorm. Gather ideas from this and research and collect pictures and do the artwork of the image of Jesus. This is the best way to portray Jesus because it involves fact and your own opinion giving a good way of making an image of Jesus.
3. What have you enjoyed about the project so far and what would you do differently?
I have enjoyed the project by having interaction with group members and co-operating to finish the work and all of the work is straightforward with no miscommunication. What I would do differently would be to write notes on how to create a caption. This is very vital and for students to find this information will be difficult and the information could be incorrect.

What do you think the Phoenix will find?
I think that the Phoneix will find how to use water on Mars and maybe some form of life in the ice caps. They may also find why Mars is how it is now. Scientist have said that Mars may have been like Earth with life until the climate became hot because of the Sun that expanded and started to burn Mars. We may actually prove the theory right or wrong with a new theory or the same theory.
Do you think as a planet we should be researching other planets? Why/ why not?
We should be researching about planets because we can benefit. If we have aliens they may try to conquer us. We may even benfit in technology and have a better life. Earth is a small planet and if we keep growing like we are now then we will need another planet. Also Earth is deriorating due to the lack of concern.
Any other comments.
If we learn about Mars then we may actually discover how to save Earth of get a vast amount of claen energy for Earth. Already scientist have discovered that moon rocks on t=our moon, Luna contains H30 with so much clean energy that the one moon rock can supply the whole earth for two years. Ufortunately scientists are still discovering how to fuse the rocks to use the energy.
